An executive who recently joined Coinstar Inc. purchased a new home in Hinsdale last month. Maria Stipp, chief customer officer of the Bellevue, Wash.-based company, bought the five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home on Lincoln Street after joining Coinstar in June. She was most recently the executive vice-president and general manager of a unit at Activision Inc., a Santa Monica, Calif.-based developer of video games. Ms. Stipp says she chose the home in Hinsdale because of the good schools, proximity to the city and Coinstar’s Oakbrook Terrace office, home of the company’s Redbox video-rental subsidiary.
